 For this assignment I chose Cindy Sherman as my favorite photographer. “The still must tease with the promise of a story the viewer of it itches to be told” (Cindy Sherman) Cynthia Morris Sherman was born on January 19th 1954. The famous Photographer and film director stepped into the male dominated world of photography and painting by attending State University College in Buffalo, New York. When Cindy started college she started painting then later on changed her major to photography in 1972. With help from her friends Charles clough and Robert Longo she was able to create the Hallwalls, a reputed art Centre and model laboratory for artist (Famousphotographers.net) Cindy graduated from college in 1976 and in 1977 she began working on Untitled film stills from 1977-80 and is known to be one of her best series.
