All photos was taken at Devils punch bowl beach on the Oregon coast of surfers   this is 14 minutes north on highway 101 of Newport, Oregon  The Devils Punch Bowl is unique for 1,310 acre geological  wonder for visitors to walk, hike, or take a horse back ride. On this day particular it was very busy Everyone is trying to rush down the  stairs to get to the beach. People are masked and trying to social distance but it was hard. Two of these photos inspired me to not give up as I talked to some of the other photographers that I took pictures of and stopped to talk to after introducing myself. Gave me advice and after watching them take their photos and seeing how they capture the moments gave me a sign of hope a sign of faith to not give up to keep trying cause I will get better someday. But these were some of my favorites that I took of other people.  

 For this assignment I chose Cindy Sherman as my favorite photographer. “The still must tease with the promise of a story the viewer of it itches to be told” (Cindy Sherman) Cynthia Morris Sherman was born on January 19th 1954. The famous Photographer and film director stepped into the male dominated world of photography and painting by attending State University College in Buffalo, New York. When Cindy started college she started painting then later on changed her major to photography in 1972. With help from her friends Charles clough and Robert Longo she was able to create the Hallwalls, a reputed art Centre and model laboratory for artist (Famousphotographers.net) Cindy graduated from college in 1976 and in 1977 she began working on Untitled film stills from 1977-80 and is known to be one of her best series. How Am I coping with these terrible times?  recently I have had a Covid-19 scare luckily I did not get it and I'm still walking on this beautiful colorful place we call earth. Having a Covid-19 scare made me think it's time to get in more contact with my family after my Grandmother passed my family went their own ways and we dropped all contact with each other even though I try things are still rocky with my family. I Try to be positive and call or text family an remind them that they have a purpose they are loved and to keep their heads up to stay positive.  My journey as a college student is to make something of myself to get the education that is beneficial to me to become bigger and better to succeed in life an in the world. I chose journalism as my major because I want to be a voice for others to hear. I plan to graduate with a journalism degree after that I plan to go back to college for nursing so I can help others and plan to work on my music so I can get better at producing my own music.
